I'm not exactly a hair expert (my stylist normally gives me lots of great advice) but I've seen lots of really cute, swingy layered cuts lately that might look great on you. Some of them are sort of in-between what you're describing: you keep most of your length, but get something new and flattering, with the option of long, sideswept bangs or face-framing layers if you want. That's probably your safest bet. And, for the record, I think your hair looks cute either way! Let us know what you pick!
