to cut or not to cut?
 

Help!

I need advice. My hair is a tad bit longer than it was when I went on vacation: in these pix.

Do you think I should cut it or keep it long?

Bangs or no bangs?

I am thinking about doing something with my hair before I graduate and end up in the real world. This is the first time in three years that my hair has been longer, usually its been shoulder length. I don't want to chop my hair much shorter than that.

Do you think it would look better short?
Any advice? Or Hair Horror Stories? Or where to go not to go for haircuts? Lets make a thread all about hair styles!

I'm not exactly a hair expert (my stylist normally gives me lots of great advice) but I've seen lots of really cute, swingy layered cuts lately that might look great on you. Some of them are sort of in-between what you're describing: you keep most of your length, but get something new and flattering, with the option of long, sideswept bangs or face-framing layers if you want. That's probably your safest bet. And, for the record, I think your hair looks cute either way! Let us know what you pick! :D

personally, i love a lady with long hair, get a trim...but nothing drastic.

Just say no to bangs!!!!

You know, I'm not a fan of bangs, but I think you look good with them. I'd say go shoulder length with bangs, maybe? Really, I'd say go shorter, but you probably don't want to do that. :)

I just got my hair cut, shorter than it's been for years -- a chin length bob, shorter in back. It takes half as long to dry/style and I feel liberated!!! :D Guys always seem to like long hair, but it is too much of a pain, if you ask me.

Keep it long, maybe with some long layers--face framing layers.

I am a friend of bangs myself, so I say bangs yes.

I would say go shoulder length, maybe a bit longer. I think your face shape is conducive to doing some cute layers (no bangs). I just grew my bangs out but I think you look good with bangs...just make sure they aren't too bluntly cut. It seems that your hair could look good many ways, so find some pictures of haircuts you like, bring them to your stylist and have fun:D
