I don't know if your school had a police station close to campus, but usually you can stop by and ask if they know of anyone that wants the job for a couple hours. Ours had a list of cops that would work after hours.
And there are benefits to them being a cop. In general your party is less likely to get shut down by other cops. If a kid attacks someone, I'd rather him be taken away then to be kicked out and come back for revenge. It's just not worth it you know?
