I would have said in ten years I'll be retired --- until the damned stock market went South!
This is a favorite question during job interviews -- As a manager, I've even asked it a few times myself -- even though I think it's a really silly question in that context. What the hell are they supposed to say? "I want your job!" How trite.
Anyway...
When asked in an interview, I used to tell people I wanted to be the night manager at the Breezewood, PA Holiday Inn. (Actually, I don't even know if there is a Holiday Inn -- there is a Breezewood, PA, though.) It used to shock the heck out of the broadcast "executives" who were hiring me. They were generally speechless for a minute or two.
As it is, I guess I'll try to stay on the good side of President Earp so I can build up that great government pension.
