When you love someone, the two of you should be able to work together as a team and improve one's financial situation. If the person with the bad credit doesn't want to improve, then it would be best that you not marry him/her b/c when you get married, their bad credit becomes yours as well. And if they really don't care if they mess up your good credit, drop him/her like a bad habit.
