I know a phew Fraternities on my campus who sold wristbands that supported their philanthropy, and the money went to them as well. I thought that was pretty nifty way to have both awareness and philanthropy at the same time. Also, it was pretty successful.

It's not so much a philanthropy if the fraternity was keeping some of the money. That's called a fundraiser.
Sorry. I just hate when people call somethihng a philanthropy and the chapter collects on the event also.
