You guys still wearing them?

I never did until they gave us a DSP one at convention. A lot of people I see still wear one, but it's slowly going out.

And, they're bands for EVERYTHING, not just Livestrong.

I've heard that some elementary and middle schools had to set rules about the number of bands you could wear because kids were showing up with veritable silicone sleeves and it was distracting. Who knew kids were so socially concious these days?

These things are everywhere! My school district made one, I went to Red Lion where a student killed the jr. high principal, so there's one in memory of him. And there's a got milk? one and one about Holstein cows. Never thought I'd see them in the dairy industry. But they're still everywhere, at least in the country!

Yes, I've also heard that some kids would cheat by writing answers on the inside of the wristbands.

I like those bumper stickers at Spencer Gifts that say "Support Strippers", "Support Partying", "Support Bitching", and "Support My Habit".

I have a gay Pride one (in rainbow colors) and just ordered one that has APhiA on it.

Everybody's wearing them. A few months ago, I noticed that my friend was wearing the red, gold, and green ones together to match the pan-african colors as well as the messages of the bands.

I am still wearing my Livestrong one. I got it when my best friend's grandpa died of cancer about a year ago. I wear it in rememberance of him and it's a good way to show that I support cancer research. I also wear a Michigan State University one that I bought as part of a fundraiser for a team at State. Those are the two that I wear on a daily basis. I will probably be purchasing a blue bracelet from PCAA when I have the chance and that one I will also probablly be wearing daily. I have breast cancer one sitting at home and two AIDs awareness bracelets that a friend gave me about a year ago.

I have a livestrong one, and that's it. I have some other charity stuff (a silver "race for the cure" bracelet, a susan g. komen pin, an aclu poster, etc.) but no other wrist bands. I think having so many is kinda silly, and the fashion ones are stupid.

I have a Livestrong one, a Relay for Life one, and a Breast Cancer one. I don't really ever wear them that often, if I do at all, it's usually just the Livestrong one. I just bought them because I liked the causes that the money was going to.

Livestrong wristband – I purchased it at the Handle Bar and Grill in Denver; they sponsored a lunch for us when we came through on the Journey of Hope.

Push America wristband – Delta Eta Chapter at Morehead State University was the first chapter to successfully produce these wristbands and offer them on a national level to raise money for Push America.

I spent the whole summer wearing my Livestrong band as we crossed the country. They were actually still a rare commodity then; people would offer to buy them off of us. But when I got back home I would see people wearing one and I would ask if they cycled or were a cancer survivor etc. And unfortunately I became rather disappointed with the amount of people who had no idea what the band meant; to them it was just a trendy thing to wear. Shortly there after I quit wearing it with any regularity…if at all.

I wear a pink one for my mom who had breast cancer and also a teal one for my grandma who died of ovarian cancer. They never ever come off. :)

the only one i have is from the children's miracle network when we did a kickball event for them. it says "miracle maker" and is half red and half yellow. i dont wear it anymore.

I have the blue Prevent Child Abuse America one that I bought from my chapter, but I rarely wear it. I like it because it was a way to support my sorority's philanthropy and I know that the money went to a good cause, but I'm not so much for wearing a rubber band. I've seen charity stuff that's done a lot cuter (there was this glass bead breast cancer bracelet at Nordstrom's a while back that I really wanted, especially since one of my friend's moms just passed on from that) that I wouldn't mind wearing, but occasionally, the rubber band does make an appearance. I think people are kind of going overkill on them, though, especially with all the fashion ones that are out there. One of my friends had an entire rainbow of different causes on her arm, and I don't know, it just kind of loses meaning when there's so many, even though it is still a great philanthropy/charity fundraiser.
