Sounds like the asses here at my workplace. "Sticking your head in the sand?" What is it with usless workplace terms?? Unless they are upping your pay I would look for a new job. I have learned during my time here at BXLOU that I am smart and they are old foggies that won't listen to a word I have to say. If it will make you feel better, talk to HR. If they tell you that your position is staying the way it is and you hate it, get out the Sunday paper and start networking!
Know that you are a smart, self-reliant person that doesn't deserve to be pushed around. I am 24 yrs old and they treat me like I am 18 here with no college education. I finally got a backbone and took my skills elsewhere. They are scrambling to find a replacement for me now, but I could care less if they find one. I am just glad to be starting a new job and I will be getting paid what I am worth.
