When I first saw the headline I was , but when I saw that the new screenwriters are the guys behind Freaks and Geeks, my opinion shifted somewhat. I don't think it'll be a faithful re-telling of the story, plus, Fox Searchlight is an "indie" division of Fox, so it'll probably feel a lot different than the original movie.
It'll be interesting to follow this through to completion, if it ever hits the screen.
