terrible idea. i mean, you can remake old movies that there were one of, not some movie thats already been recylced a million times in all the revenge of the nerds sequels

When I first saw the headline I was :rolleyes: , but when I saw that the new screenwriters are the guys behind Freaks and Geeks, my opinion shifted somewhat. I don't think it'll be a faithful re-telling of the story, plus, Fox Searchlight is an "indie" division of Fox, so it'll probably feel a lot different than the original movie.

It'll be interesting to follow this through to completion, if it ever hits the screen.

Yes, I did. BECAUSE IT PHUCKING SUCKED. You obviuosly just have really bad taste in movies.

Besides, ROTN really isn't that old. I think there should be a law that unless at least one cast member has died of old age, you're not allowed to do a remake.

Don't even get me started on Nicole Kidman in the Bewitched movie. :rolleyes:

dude, no one really even liked the original planet of the apes; it was schtick, pure and simple . . . revenge of the nerds, however, is a seminal piece of FUCKING ART - we don't waste our time repainting monets, do we?

But see, even that's not a faithful retelling of the show. It's being done as a behind the scenes "mockumentary" of a remake of the original series.

Yeah, I know it's a bit meta, but at least it's not going to be like Starsky and Hutch (which was REALLY disappointing).

Oh what the hell do I know -- I'm a kitsch and camp addict.

I would go see it for the lone fact of Adam Brody and Brett Harrison being in it.
