CBS' Minority News Initiative

CBS said Wednesday it has created a program to recruit minority journalists, not only at the network but also at its owned-and-operated stations and affiliates. Every year, a producer and reporter will be picked. They'll work at CBS affiliates with what the network called a strong commitment to mentoring; by the end of the two-year program, the network said it hopes the candidates will join CBS News. The program will begin in January.

I don't know how your affiliates are, but here in the NO, the CBS affiliate has many minorities are reporter/anchors (including my cousin). We even have a reporter who is of Asian decent. So, Channel 4 is probably ahead of the pact.
