He did however, according to the paper, pose in his cap and gown for pictures.
He even went to NC with his wife to look for apartments for them to stay in while he was in Med School! The same article said he talked about MCAT scores, which schools he should apply to, etc. NO ONE had any reason not to believe him. Evidently his story was adding up.
It really is a sad story.

I agree. I don't think it's that hard to fake anything. We are speaking as young (er) college educated folks. I know many a people whose parents trust their very last word. I am not saying his parents are uneducated but IF by chance moms and pops haven't seen a college campus EVER or it's been 40 years since, then they may not be up on the new chit.
Think about the fact that back in the day, there was no "distance learning." If I told my mom I was in a distance learning program leading towards a JD, she doesn't know any better. Why would she check up? Same can be said for attending school out of state. How about all the folks at (was it) Southern U. that got fake degrees and transcripts? Were the parents to call the University to make sure?
Uhm...let's also not forget that a lunatic named "yelloflower" over on DST Ave. has been lying to EVERYONE for 6 years. She also lied about having graduated UG initially, remember. You'd think someone would have caught on but people believ what they want and no one wants to walk around doubting their "loved" ones.
I am sorry but I think we all think what we would have done in hindsight but truth be told, we all know people who could be lying about a number of things and may snap and kill us at the drop of a dime. Seriously.
