3 New England Public U's: PRO-Greek Actions and $$$ !

Large public universities in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Maine are taking decidedly pro-Greek actions, according to an Associated Press article in today's New York Newsday --

http://www.newsday.com/news/local/wi...-regional-wire

The article cites new support for strengthening and enlarging Greek life, encouraging students to consider going Greek, and supporting Greek housing. There's an implication that in the competition to attract students, a solid Greek system can be a plus. Hmmmmm -- an interesting change in direction for some of these universities.

A Kappa Kappa Gamma, identified as the president of the sorority council at U. of Massachusetts-Amherst, is quoted in the article.
