IMO Louis Vuitton and some of those other names are shit with a huge price tag. I've never actually seen a LV I thought looked good. I had tons of friends that insisted on the Dooney & Burke thing too-and they weren't even real leather! If people like this stuff and can afford it, I think that's great, go for it. It's just not my style. You are who you are, not what you have (or can fake having in this case!)
Now if you really DO like a D&B or LV purse and can't afford it and find a replica of sorts that is cheaper, why not buy it. But don't buy a knock off and try to front like it's real. I love the Burberry plaid, and it's easy to find things like that that are not real burberry. But I am not buying it b/c I am trying to front like I own a real burberry bag, I just really really like that pattern. So yeah, I'd buy a knock off or cheaper version. But not because I was trying to rip off that designer. It's like when you buy a white shirt from the Gap instead of Anne Klein. I just buy the one I can afford.
