No, they sort of hinted that D.W. untimately wasn't comfortable with the image of him "sexing da white woman" up on the big screen, or how that scene would be perceived by his fans. They said the same thing happened with Pelican Brief? with Julia Roberts back in the early-90s. He did a sex/romance? scene with Roberts but it never made the final film. ...don't know if he had as much veto power on that edit, but they said this was most definitely his call with Man on Fire.
...but of course you gotta take morning radio entertainment "news" for what it's worth. So who ultimately knows. Maybe Mrs. D.W. wasn't havin' it.
