Man on Fire-Denzel Washington

Is he the "villain" in this film? It seems to be action-packed. :D

Oooooh, I really want to see this movie.

Without giving too much away

Denzel isn't the villain. It's a remake of a 1987 film that involves the guy who's playing the Denzel role (Scott Glenn) trying to rescue a kidnapped heiress (Jade Malle in the original, Dakota Fanning in this remake).
In the original, the girl is much older. I think she was 12 or 13. Dakota Fanning is probably only 10 years old or so.

Denzel!! *whew* Denzel!!

Now I love me some Denzel and everything but errr-uhh-ummm.....when are they going to stop offering him "cop roles?"

Let's see....he's been in Training Day (cop), Out of Time (cop) and now Man on Fire (cop-ish).

Don't get me wrong, I plan to go see the movie 'cause I love me some Denzel. :) I was just wondering if Hollywood is running out of ideas (with the dirth remakes and reimaginings) when it comes to good solid roles for Black men.

I can't wait to see this movie, it looks so good. The little girl in the movie can act to, I've seen her in a couple of other movies, she is sooooo cute.

I saw it on Monday. The acting was good, but I didn't really appreciate the premise of the movie. Denzel isn't the villain he is more like a little caucasian girl's modern day man-mammy. I'll leave it at that.

Two Thumbs Up!!

The movie was really good. He was a conflicted soul that never thought he could love again until he met ole girl. I think everyone should see this movie. Definitely a DVD catch!:D :D :D :D :D

Did you all know that there was a love scene that was deleted from the movie? The actress who played the mom in the film talked about it on The View the other day. She gushed about how she had so much fun making the scence with Denzel.

It's funny you say that. My husband and I are sitting in the theatre and he keeps whispering "Oh shoot, they are about to do it." But it never happend. It seems like they were going to a couple of times. So when ole girl said that on The View I understood. I wonder why they decided to take it out- hold up, no I don't I know why. I just wonder who's decision it was to delete it.

it was Denzel's decision to cut the scene, according to news reports on either Tom Joyner or Russ Parr on Wednesday (I forget which one reported it.)
