It's perfectly normal to have spotting, especially after having been on the same low-dosage pill for several years. If it gets heavier or prolonged, have your gyn change your dosage.
The tissue thing--yeah, that's normal too. If your period is really heavy and/or chunky and you get freaked out about it, call your gyn. That may also have to do with the dosage of your pill.
