We NEVER wore badge AND letters. Because letters were "casual" and the badge is only to be worn with business attire or better.

And also, it was considered bad form to wear two types of letters anyway. Like you never wore letters with a sorority hat, or letters with lettered sweatpants. Or a lettered t-shirt under a lettered sweatshirt.
