I think the concept of an alliance was a smart idea. Even though I don't condone homosexuality, I didn't and still don't view that as a reason for not wanting him to win. I simply was put off by his arrogance. I'm all for people having confidence and a strong-will, but he just irritated me.
However, I felt Kelly was more deserving. Last night was the first time I watched the show and when I heard that she had won the last five immunity challenges, I was impressed. Also, during the last immunity challenge the host asked if they knew Rudy's wife's name. Rich said no while Kelly said it was Marge.
On the reunion show, they said Rich won because he was able to separate himself emotionally from the other contestants which is why he didn't learn much about them. Well, Kelly didn't have to do that and still made it to the final two. To me, being able to do it all is a good example of the best survivor.
