Cordless Phone - House

We have 2 different models of cordless phones in our house, but the reception is totally crappy!

I wish I could talk hubby into ditching the reg. phone and just use our cell phones for all calls.

Any suggestions on not-so-expensive cordless phones? We don't get/make a lot of phone calls. Georgia has a no-call marketer's list that is terrific!!

Hubby's bday is next month and I need ideas...he went out and bought some extra Rio memory ((which he had on his wish list!))
