Question Too young to rush?

I've been reading the message boards for a while now and I want to say thank you to everyone for all the helpful advice for those of us who will be rushing this fall!

I'll be a freshman at the University of Colorado in Boulder this fall and rush starts Sept. 2nd. I sent in my application at the beginning of August, but I haven't received anything back, while some of my friends got their rush materials more than 2 weeks ago.

I'm thinking the problem might be that I'm only 17. Are there any age restrictions on rush? If so, are there ways to get around them (parent permission, etc.)? I'm so excited to rush this fall and I'm hoping this won't get in my way!
