Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority (the organization, a regional chapter and members of the group involved) is being sued for $100 million in a wrongful death suit involving the death of two of its new members in an alleged hazing incident.
How sad that something perceived as "fun" by some resulted in death--perhaps even in the name of sisterhood...
Each of us as individuals, as women, as sisters, as people, as chapter members, as volunteers, and as an organization needs to be committed to reaching our full potential through positive means that nurture one another and support sisterhood and humanity in a positive way....hazing just isn't the way.........
