Unusual Things That Happen To You

Since I am sick today with a lot of time on my hands I thought I would write about an experience I had on sunday. It's one of those mortifying/not so funny things at the time, but later you find it amusing
Anywho, I was at walmart on Sunday getting some things there with my mother and my bookcase (Heh, I put it together myself. I am becoming a regular Martha Stewart, cept for the criminal part ). As you know they have those greeters when you come in the door and when you leave. So I'm carrying the heavy bookcase box and as I am going out the door woman smiles and I smile back. Then she suddenly stops me. Here's the conversation:

Doorwoman: Uhh, I have to see your receipt for that, before you leave."
Me: (looking puzzle and not wanting to put the darn box again, cuz I just want to get it to the car) Oh ok (I look for a place to put the box down and settle for the floor)
Doorwomen: Does your MOMMY have it?
Me: (staring at the doorwoman puzzled thinking, did she ask me if my MOMMY had the receipt??) (In a kind of ticked voice) No, I have it.
Doorwoman: (looking realizing she just made a doofer (dufuss mistake)) Oh...

My mommy???????
That's right folks. This soon to be 23 year old in Oct., got asked if her mommy had it.

Ok, now I know I look young for my age. People tell me that all the time, but normally I get told like the high school range. But she went all the way to elementary school and some would say even lower.
Leslie, Judi (well Judi you have only met me once) do I really look that young????

I told my mother and she died laughing.

to the doorlady at Walmart! To quote Basement Jaxx, "Where's your head at?"
