Those stories were pretty commonplace in Texas. Some of the girls would stay at the new school and others would transfer back and attempt to affiliate. I don't personally know anyone who rushed unsuccessfully at school A, transferred to B and pledged the desired group there, and transferred back to A and successfully affiliated.
