The media is too lazy to do their homework. There are multiple reasons for suicide. They include MONEY problems, relationship problems, drug use, steroids, painkillers, career problems and so on.
If an NFL player who abused steroids and painkillers, loses his 5 milllion a year job, gets dumped by his wife, gets dumped by his 21 year old girlfriend, and can't find a job with his basket weaving degree why is anyone surprised when he eats a bullet?

Just because he never played a down doesn't mean he couldn't have a football related concussion. Many players get concussion while on the practice field. Whether or not the concussion is related to his suicide is a different matter all together. Don't assume that he wasn't injured on field simply because he didn't play in a game.
