Neither the North or the Midwest are willing to claim Ohio! Are we really that bad??
Anyway, in Cincinnati we have a distinctly strange way of doing things. Almost everyone says Pop here. Its always "grillin out" never "barbqin". We see "please" when we want someone to repeat themselves (this comes from our German roots). People from further North like to make fun of us for being afraid to drive in snow storms. This is something that really gets on our nerves! When it snows here, it is almost always on top of atleast 1 inch of ice. This makes driving more than a little difficult. And the strangest of them all- if during the winter months, the temperature rises above 50 degrees, people will walk around in shorts and t-shirts and drive with their windows down. This is absolutely ridiculous- its not warm enough for that unless its 65 or above!
