Stop responding to the thread! The more you respond, the more people are going to get pissed off about your opinion. It is much easier to "jump down" someones throat in an online, not in your face, forum than in person.
Unfortunately, there are people in the world who aren't keen on hearing others opinions (hell my own mom is one of them).
If you are tired of being berated stop responding.
