Another good idea.. Flashlight and batteries! The first time the electricity goes out is ALWAYS fun when you don't have these.

In college.. I almost did. It was either that or my meal plan.
But ok, the one "extra" I have in the kitchen is a George Forman grill.. You can make a ton of stuff with it, and it's simple to use - I grill chicken, burgers, hot dogs, perogies, veggies, eggs, paninis, etc.
I'm pretty sure that with one of these grills, I wouldn't really miss an oven and stove if I didn't have them.
