And, yes, they would be breaking the rules. The rules do not change because "Oh, it's a loved one." I wouldn't (and couldn't, by Pi Phi's rules), give my fiance my badge to wear. He is not a member. I did, however, give my mother an allowed mother's pin.

Ok, although...I am not referring to a members pin, although there was a practice years ago of "pinning" which was a very common practice of allowing your sweetheart to wear your badge.......There are many articles written about this subject.....
I am only referring to the use of crests and coat of arms and "novelty" items being used and or worn by non members.....the badge or initiate pins are NOT what this thread is about......
