Hi Everybody!
I recently went through formal recruitment at my school, and am happy to say that I received a bid! If everyones interested in reading, I thought I'd share my positive experience. I'd prefer to keep my name and school private, but I'm sure it won't be that hard to figure out. I go to a small, public college with 4 NPC sororities, and 1 colony coming to campus this semester. Going into recruitment, I had a very open mind and no real prior judgments of the groups on campus. Greek life is actually pretty big on my campus, although each sorority had a campus total of about 60 before each recruitment.
I'll refer to each of the sororities on campus as Disney Princesses

I hope you guys like my story
Round Robin
Our introduction to recruitment was actually very brief. The first night was deemed round robin, and we were put into our groups. For this night, all of the sorority sisters participating were wearing black, and not their letters. For some reason, we weren't supposed to know what group each girl belonged to. This was confusing to both the PNM's and the members, we both didn't really understand why we weren't supposed to know what groups the girls we were getting along with were in! They explained that it was just supposed to get us comfortable, which I guess it did. Each group visited three different areas. First, my group played an icebreaker with a group of the members. Pretty standard, we kind of just introduced ourselves. We continued to the "mixer" room, where we were escorted in by one of the members, and just made casual conversation. Our last activity of the evening was a craft room, where we made valentines to give to a battered women's shelter. All in all, it was a pretty good evening! I was a little intimidated by the amount of girls that came out for rush, the highest ever for my school, 150. This was a little scary because usually, pledge classes at my school, even for formal recruitment, aren't bigger than 15.
Thanks for reading!
