My husband proposed to me in Belfast, Northern Ireland at midnight in front of Queen's University. He had planned to wait til the next morning and ask me in the botanic gardens, but we were both restless and had slept off most of our jet lag, so we went out for a walk. And as we were getting around the university, he starts talking about how much he loves me, and how much he likes to be together, and saying some of our inside jokes, which is not that uncommon...so when he stopped and got down on one knee and said, "So for all of that, would you be my wife?" and gave me my beautiful ring. Of course, I said yes

. There were two security guards out on rounds when he did this, and they cheered us and honked their horn.
What a guy, he had managed to smuggle the ring with him the entire way from home to Belfast without me noticing.
I've seen quite a few at the marathons I've done, and even one couple getting married WHILE running (which was awesome).
