If you're the creative type, you could always try making your own dress. I sewed all my formal dresses in high school for a couple of reasons. Stores didn't have what I liked, I wanted it to fit perfectly, and I wanted to be unique! Its not very hard to learn at all, and it's so much fun! I'd recommend it if you're looking to pick up a new hobby :]
Maybe for the future, but not for rush, not now.
