Article in magazine

This really pertains to ALL greeks but since i'm a Theta i decided i'd post this in here. I was reading Allure and i guess there was a previous article about Body Image and Greeks. This was a response to the article by a reader..

" I thought Professor Bonifazi's comment at the end of an article about negative Body image ["Mood News," March] was completely biased. She said that "women who are more focused on appearance and popularity are probably more inclined to join sororities." If the good professor would like to take a stroll down Greek Row, I think she would find young women (and men) who are more focused on getting good grades and volunteering than on their popularity and physical appearance ." Beth Hawley Orlando

I think her comment was so true because people just put stereotypes to Greek organizations and they aren't even greek themselves, so they don't know what goes on. Everyone cares about their looks, most people want to look presentable, just not members of the Greek Organizations. Yeah to some it is about being popular and stuff, but to most sororities are more than looks. But that's just my opinion.
