I believe it can be both....
If you are a leader, you care about the positive and efficient management of an organization, therefore you are loyal towards making it and you the best of the best.
If you are loyal, you care about the appearance and impression perceived of the organization, therfore you will lead it into the right directions to keep a positive image.
About "growing", growth is continual. You can't learn eveyrthing their is to know about anything. Any subject you study you can't know everything about. So being open to growth and change is so important.
I just have an SF's perspective so any comments about the orgs. will be reserved for members.
