I think a lot of people just don't pay attention to who the writer/producer/director is. If you name the movies, they know those for sure.

So many of his movies transcend generations, especially The Breakfast Club. That was a movie that everybody could relate to in some way and now my daughter and her friends love it and can relate to it also.
