Man, I just spent about 30 minutes responding to this, and it wouldn't let me post for some odd reason. WTF? Starting over. I laughed at your 1st two comments, because my dean was in the same situation. There was a brother who transferred from another chapter to our school, and you know how we roll at DZ, we had to check him out. To make a long story short, this brother couldn't even say the Founders. He started with EWD, and didn't know the rest. NO LIE!!!! What my dean did next is a phone call. LOL. I agree with #3 110%, but sometimes meetings still get out of order. What kills me are glos who have lines 150 deep and don't even know each others last names.

Getting rid of the NPHC, I don't think we should, Nupe. I know an Iota who would agree with you, because he was mad when his organization joined the NPHC. I couldn't figure out why though. You two probably know more about it then I do. I think we as black men and women are divided already on so many levels, that I don't see the point of dividing our glos.

You asked why some things have gotten the way they are based on the way the Founders created it to be? Good question. You're right, the Founders were men of order, but at the same time our Founders didn't refer to themselves as "Lady mind blowers or damn near flawless, making women go drawless" either. Where did this shit come from? That's my question. It's one thing to joke about it, because that's what that mess is to me, a joke. It's when brothers act on it is what gets me ticked off. I see your point, Phi, but in my mind the "bitching down of the black man" is when he can't keep his dick in his pants and won't commit to one woman, the same woman. I'm not just speaking of Kappa Alpha Psi, and the lame sterotype that's been given to us. I'm speaking of black men in general. Basically, the black man has failed his family. Why? because there are too many black homes without a father figure. There's a mother, and the kids, but where is that dude? He got the draws, but bounced when the kids came and the going got tough. That to me is a weak azz man. I'm not saying that a single mom can't raise her children, because she can and not only that, raise them to be leaders with good character. But a lot of times when there isn't a dedicated committed hard working man leading his family, then his son(s) will grow up to be just like him, and if he's a trifling father their mother will say negative things about him around her daughter, and then she may grow up and think all black men are that way. What's even more sad is there are more black men in prison than there are in college. As far a Kappa is concerned, I love being apart of a Fraternity that's known as being well educated, articulate, handsome, Achieving men. Who wouldn't want to be apart of an organization like that? It's the "player" "mack daddy" "I wear shades at night" image that we've been plagued with that bothers me. Were our Founding Fathers walking around outside at night with shades on, being "macks" and "players?" So my question is where did this garbage that we've been plagued with come from? And on top of that to act on "Nupes are entitled to your girl". And then to wear a KAY t-shirt with that mess printed on it confirming it. A man isn't entitled to any man's girl. Infact, he isn't entitled to his own girl unless he's put a ring on her finger. As a matter of fact, there was a brother on here (who doesn't post as much anymore), who started a thread called "The Art of Mackin'". On top of that, it was started on our forum. I clowned (as in I was pissed) so bad in that thread, that it got closed. Like I said, it's one thing to talk about it, joke about it and keep it as the stereotype that it is, because talk is cheap, but he believes this like many brothers do, especially the young brothers.

When I was on line I would always tell myself that if I was fortunate to make it into the Bond, I was going to get rid of our sweetheart program. Why? because most of them were groupies sleeping with the brothers. I succeeded. They had to go. The last time I came back to my chapter, they were still gone, and if I ever find out that they've come back, I'll be making a road trip. Another thing that would kill me is hearing Nupes at many chapters calling these girls hoes. I would ask those same brothers, if she's a hoe, and you're sleeping with her, then what does that make you? See, folks get quiet when I get on this topic. Nupes can get mad at me, call me a back, put me in the kut or do whatever, I don't care, because I'm tired of this shit, and it should have never been adopted. What's a mack? A mack is a hoe. What's a player? A hoe, and a pimp is a skank hoe. Period. I don't care who it is. This is what I call the "bitching down of the black man". It's a man who won't commit to one woman, the same woman. He's a man who talks a lot of game like he's committed to one woman, and "claims" he is committed because he calls his "main" squeeze his girl, but yet his punk azz has other women on the side he's messing with. The "bitching down of a black man" in my mind is a man who claims he's a hardcore player but in reality is as soft as "Rite Aid" drug store cotton. The good kind. Sorry azz men like this are emotionally impotent and need viagra for the heart. Basically he simply 1.) won't keep his dick in his pants, and 2.) finds it too difficult to remain connected as his sorry azz starts to wilt under the pressure of a normal love life. And then for these dumb azz jokers who try to get themselves out of trouble after they get caught cheating on their girls, then they buy her gifts to ease the guilt. Some women fall for this garbage time and time again. "Read my siggy". Men like this are just a dumb azz cash register full of one hundred dollar excuses. Like you said Nupe, it isn't hard, but not acting on the player stereotype isn't hard either.

I'm not going to comment on the FAMU part. Someone started a thread on here about that with a link attached, but I didn't respond to it. Infact, none of the Nupes did. The only thing I'll say about that is, I thought it was unfair and pretty much based on race. But the rest of my thoughts on that are a phone call, Nupe.

btw: when you get a chance, Phi, I need you to call me, PM me, or e-mail me with your mailing address. I have something I want to send you. Part of it is a DZ tradition. It's important I get this info from you Nupe. Hit me up.

Phi V

Also Nupe, I enjoyed talking to you. You are one funny Nupe. Hopefully we can talk longer the next time, Phi.

Check out this DZ "probate" show. Up the hill, down the hill, there is no hill, Kappa, Kappa....LOL, this brings back memories all over again. I haven't forgotten none of this. It takes a minute to load up.
