The previous examples were good ones. If I saw someone with those words in their handle, I'd wonder if they knew any better, and if not... why not?
It all goes back to researching &
knowing enough about the org that you're interested in, especially if you are creating a screen name and signature to post in this type of environment, so as not to offend. I am aware that sometimes people do/ say things without even realizing that it may be offensive.
Some other examples that may cause us to go
:
A Kappa interest with Smooth, Suave, Debonnaire (sp) or Pretty in their name.
An Alpha interest with any reference to Apes, Ice, Cold, in their name.
Looking at the popularity of : Pretty Girls wear 20 Pearls...
An AKA interest with Pretty, Pearls, pinkies or noses in their screen name.
