Has any president EVER gone INTO (on many occasions) a warzone?

Has any of our presidents traveled to Vietnam while fighting was going on?

Did our presidents go to Germany while fighting was going on?

Hell did Bush SENIOR go to Iraq while in office?

If I am wrong then folks, by all means please correct me, but I do not recall ever off the top of my head any of our presidents traveling INTO an area in which we were actively engaged in a war except this one and someone wants to know why and you think it's a bad question?

I am still waiting to see the memo that the Iraqi people sent that asked us to bring them a nice piping hot mug of democracy to them along with a 6 pack of religious and cultural tolerance...hehe. I won't hold my breath.

The difference between this and other wars, is that we were fighting against the country's government in every other war. Right now, we are fighting WITH the Iraqi government against insurgents in Iraq. Seriously, if you are going to get into a political arguement please know your facts.
