I think discrimination against gays is legal in some states anyway. The only states where its illegal are:
California
Connecticut
District of Columbia
Hawaii
Illinois
Maine
Maryland
Massachusetts
Minnesota
Nevada
New Hampshire
New Jersey
New Mexico
New York
Rhode Island
Vermont
Washington
Wisconsin
And they aren't federally protected either.
