Excellent site! I try to work on somebody's else's genealogy (almost) as often as my own, as I'd like to get my certification someday, and I need the challenges.
One thing that absolutely fascinates me is the Thomas Jefferson/Sally Hemings connection. I'd read a lot of articles about the discussion about "who's allowed to join whatever the Thomas Jefferson society is called and who's not. I don't remember the exact quote, but at the first meeting where Hemings descendants were welcomed, the president of the society made sure that he went over to two of the ladies to make them feel at home. He then said something like, "I really hope the society opens their minds and accepts you," to which the ladies said, "Oh, no! We know we have the lineage. We're here to see if this is a society to which we WANT to belong!" Beautiful.
OragamiTulip, maybe there's a Descendants of the Accusers of Salem Witches?
And yes, much of my holiday presents come from Caldwell, too.
