There are several schools who have spring/winter recruitment who have "fall parties" or "fall previews" as their open houses - you have to remember that spring/winter recrutiment requires girls to come back from the holiday break about a week early which can be a big deterrent for some. I think having the first rounds in the fall gets PNMs excited about Greek life and gives them a reason to WANT to come back from the break early.

But yes, it is a tease - especially because you'll have 2 months of seeing all of the members around campus in their letters and desperately waiting for January!
