Honestly, I think that tidbit was the detail that surprised me the most...after reading all the SEC rush warnings, nothing anyone could say about rush outfits would surprise me. But, the idea that people might actually change up the color of their eyes from day to day sounded so  to me...that thought never even occurred to me! |
A quick google check shows "colored contact lenses a hit in Paris" in 1951 New York Times article. It also shows various us and foreign patents dating back to the mid-60s. SO...someone with money MIGHT have them. However, generally available ones come on the market after a 1988 patent was issued.
