Weighing In
Hello, SFs!
It's been more than a minute, because I'm prepping for my comprehensive exams. But I just HAD to reply to this timely thread!
Bitterness is a natural feeling, as is anger. Vent. By all means, VENT! You are entitled to your feelings, they should not be invalidated.
Just don't sink into it as a bad habit. That's when you start "hatin on folks" and it brings YOU down, not them! They could care less about (y)our hurt feelings, and may revel in them, if they have some insecurities of their own.
I was rejected in college, and when ladies say they don't know why, perhaps they REALLY don't know why. I don't, seven years later. And that's okay to express, as well. It isn't always the prospective's fault, let's be honest.
So, if you aren't bitter or depressed, etc., then fine! Great! But if you are, feel it, express it healthily, then bring yourself back up. It's hard. I know it is. I know. But you can do it. I did it.
Now, no I am not a member. I graduated with honors, am in grad school, do my public service, and whatever else needs doing. I am also in OES, so I consider myself a well-rounded individual. All I can do is keep on keeping on and wait. And so I do.
