I got in, it could have been fun on such a large campus- but it really seems like recruitment is taken way too seriously there. I am sure each chapter is fabulous and has a lot to offer, but geez!

Ditto!!! I go to a fairly small university, only around 16,000 students. Greek Life is considered competivie, but I was able to get a bid being an upperclassmen transfer, and someone with no letters of rec. In fact, I didn't even know what a letter of rec was until after I joined my sorority! Part of me misses the chance to be in a large chapter with a house at a bigger school, but it does seem very competivie for someone who does not have recs or transfers in. Good Luck though!
