I saw that- and I believe it was because something went wrong with the equipment (no pun intended) during the circumcision, and they decided to do gender reassignment and raise the child as a girl. Apparently it was a good idea
in theory but the results were disasterous.
It also gets my vote for most depressing episode ever.
