Breathe!", and after I read through the parents' forums, seriously wanted to slap some of the parents for micromanaging the children's lives to such a high degree. I never believed how lucky I was to have a mother that did not interfere with my college selection process, except to say when a school was too costly or too far away from my hometown.

If I was 18 now and knew my mom was posting on that site, I think I would probably do something like run off and join the circus.
PARENTS: YOUR COLLEGE YEARS ARE BEHIND YOU. YOU CANNOT RECREATE THEM THROUGH YOUR CHILDREN. IF YOU WERE STILL HUNG UP ON COLLEGE YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE BECOME A PARENT IN THE FIRST PLACE.
