, 17 young ladies crossed the burning sands into XYZ land. For some reason unknown

, they are only known around campus as the 16...
Before becoming a XYZ the 17th was well known, outspoken, and very active around campus. Afterwards, she became the total opposite. She never came out, hardly spoke to anyone, and was an "unknown entity" thereafter. Now, to my knowledge, during MIP she was treated like everyone else. This is to say, that I don't think she had bad experiences during this time, so I can't say that she resents the organization or its members for anything that may have happened. Yet, it was a well known fact in the greek community (and nongreek for that matter) that she was...well, different from the other 16 girls. She was never looked at the same, and she never acted the same!
My question is NOT "Do you think Pledging is good or bad?" I just want your thoughts on how this well known, outspoken, active person let something like this change her entire personality?
