Clearly there is a huge greek presence in the North East given the amount of chapters and how a lot of kids go Greek. No, kids don't choose their schools based on what fraternities they want to join, but that's abnormal anyway. In Canada there are very few chapters and their numbers are low. Anyone can see that by looking through a few chapter rosters. I know we have Canadian chapters (more so than most, if not the most but I really couldn't care), I know how big they are and how big other chapters at those schools are, and I know there is no comparison to the Northeast or anywhere in America.
Cutiepie2000, this is a serious question. I would like to know how you could come up with that ludicrous statement given that you did not experience Greek life as an undergrad and given it's complete factual inaccuracy.
Let me help you to understand if you don't already.
Delta Gamma's chapters in Canada:
Wilfrid Laurier University - 44 members
University of Alberta - 58 members
University of British Columbia - Members not listed but pictures would put it in line with the other 2 chapters.
So that's 3 chapters and approximately 150 girls in the whole country of Canada. Delta Gamma has 20 chapters in Northeastern USA (just one region of the country).
I think you get the picture and I'm happy to help you clear up that confusion. Have a good day
