Crazy people have no limit to what they will do to find you and do you harm. He shot her in front of their youngest son's daycare on the oldest son's birthday.

Sorry to hear about your aunt. I don't think anyone is saying that her life would have been spared had she left. But I think she would have had a better chance of living than staying with him and passively waiting to die. At least she would have ATTEMPTED to preserve her life.
