Thank you for the correction. The representative for Burr, Patterson, and Auld told me of the merge. She said they had aquired all of Masters of Design's dies so they (BPand A) could make anything that I wanted from the old Masters o D catalog.

When I asked about having my Herff Jones college ring re-sized, she said that they had aquired that company as well. Either I misunderstood, or the representative gave me wrong info.

But, I did look up the merge in some business directories, and you are correct... Burr, Patterson, and Auld and Masters are now a division of Herff Jones.

As a side note... I want to add that Masters of Design was a lot more reasonable in price. I design and deal in martial arts jewelry, so I know a bit about pricing. Yes, the price of gold has gone sky high-- but their silver pieces are, in my opinion, unreasonably high. As soon as the aquisition became official, they significantly boosted all of their prices-- from badges to bracelets to charms.

I have since found a wonderful jewelry store in New York City which has crown charms... as well as dophins, turtles, and just about anything else! They're a bit more reasonably priced.
